My Grandmom and Grandpa are reunited once again in heaven. Reminiscing about what Aunt Carol is doing for Thanksgiving, my Mom sneaking out with the car at age 13 with my Aunt Amy only for having my Grandmom to find out 25 years later, Scar from the Lion King, Water Rides at amusement parks, the Phillies, Cafe Napoli, Rainbow Sherbet, Downton Abbey, and above all Two and a Half Men (yes Two and a Half Men), will never be quite the same anymore. She was a wonderful woman and I’ll cherish the memories. I love you Grandmom. Most importantly, thank you to just my Mom for being there for here taking care of her the whole way home, all hours of the night, changing and canceling plans, dropping everything at the drop of a hat to help. You truly are extraordinary and anybody who has said or says anything to the contrary about you does NOT have a friend in me. I love you. by @54patrickcoleman

What makes the greatest Grandpa in the world? Is it taking up listening to rap music when your teenage grandson is going through a phase so you can have common ground with him? Is it the greatest Irish sense of humor I’ve ever seen in my life? Is it at the drop of a hat driving 6 plus hours to watch me pitch a baseball game on numerous occasions including the Monday after Easter Sunday? Is it being the one to introduce me to working out? Is it stepping in and saving a family from a Christmas on the street? Is it the countless Cafe Napolis, Seasons Pizzas, and going to Phillies games? Is it always willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed? Is it building a wooden toy train for my son (with the help of my brother Sean) as your final woodworking project? Is it using every last breath of yours to make the world a better place? Yes. I love you Grandpa, and I’ll miss you every day. You were the most WONDERFUL Grandparent and then some I could have ever hoped for. Thank you to my Mom for taking care of him all the way until the end. I love you. taken in Chicago, Illinois by @54patrickcoleman

It just means more to us Philadelphia sports fans than anywhere else. Always has, always will. P.S. I always believed Ezra would be a champ in the future (look at his shirt), just didn’t know that it would be so soon. Now blow the whistle.
