Looking Back on My Tattoo Journey

It’s been one year since I started tattooing.
At first, I just loved art — and tattooing was a natural extension of that passion.

But after I discovered tattoos, everything changed.
I quit all my jobs and decided to focus completely on tattooing from that day until now.

For the first four months, I practiced every single day —
from morning until late at night, without taking a single day off.
That’s how it all started — tattooing my friends back home in Okinawa.
That was the real beginning of my tattoo career.

As I gained confidence and started to believe I could make a living from this,
I made a big decision.
I decided to challenge myself in a country completely different from Japan —
different language, different culture, different people.

I came to this country with just one bag —
some clothes, my tattoo machine, my passport, and a little bit of money.
I couldn’t speak English, I didn’t know anyone,
and I had no idea where to go or what to do.
But I always believed in myself.
I knew I could make it here.

It’s been almost a year since that day.
Now, I’m surrounded by amazing clients every day,
and so many people support what I do.

Tattooing isn’t just about putting ink on skin.
It’s about building real connections with people.
Even when words don’t work, we can still connect through art.
That’s something I’ve always dreamed of.

My dream now is to become a tattoo artist who works all around the world.
Thanks to everyone I’ve met here,
I’m more confident than I was a year ago.

I will never forget the people I met through tattooing —
the ones who supported me and believed in me.

When I was a kid, I didn’t really go to school.
I wasn’t good at studying.
Maybe I’m not the smartest person,
but through art, I can make people happy.

I started from the bottom, but I finally made it this far.
And this is just the beginning.

I’ll keep challenging myself, and I’ll make sure to inspire and entertain everyone who follows me.

「僕たちの家に来る？」
その一言から、彼らの家で数日間一緒に過ごすことになりました。

バイク事故で足を骨折した経験を忘れないためのタトゥーを彫ったり、彼らが紹介してくれた友達にもタトゥーを彫ったり。

少し前まで知らなかった人たちが、タトゥーを通して友達になり、家族のような存在になっていく。

人と出会うことって、本当に素晴らしい。

今の自分にできることを全力で続けて、この旅が僕をどこへ連れていくのか、流れに任せてみよう。

“Do you want to come to our place?”
That one question led to me spending the next few days at their home.

One of them wanted a tattoo to remember the motorcycle accident that left him with a broken leg. I also tattooed some of the friends they introduced me to.

People who were strangers only days ago became friends—and started to feel like family—through tattoos.

Meeting new people is a beautiful thing.

No one knows what the future holds.
No matter how much we think about it, we can’t make everything go our way.

The beautiful views before us,
the laughter we share with friends,
the everyday moments with someone we love or with family
we’ll never live those exact moments again.

So I don’t want to miss the present
thinking too much about a future I can’t see.

I want to truly feel the happiness that’s here, right now,

濃ゆすぎたバルセロナでの1週間
動けば動くほど日常の中でいろんなことが起きる
ここで出会ってくれた皆んなに本当に感謝

俺はいつも人に恵まれてる。
出会いがあれば別れもあるけどこれが最後じゃないしまた成長した姿で皆んなに会いたい

バルセロナとバルセロナで出会った皆んなが大好きだ
必ずまた帰ってくるよ

スペインに来て3ヶ月
バレンシアから生活をスタートした。

友達もいて、家族もいて、素敵なお家もあり、タトゥースタジオもきまり、先日は別のスタジオからもオファーが来たり全てがうまくいってた。

だけど自分の心の中に穴が空いたような、なぜかずっともがいてるような気持ちで過ごしてた。
自問自答を繰り返して導き出した答えは、おれはまた自分の力で0から挑戦したいという思いだった。

お世話になった場所へしっかりと感謝をして、新たな街バルセロナで0からの挑戦をする。
そしてまた成長した姿でバレンシアに帰ってきてみんなにいい報告をしたい。

人間としてたくさんのことを教えてくれた周りの人や環境
それを活かして改めて挑戦してくる。

覚悟決めてやる、うまくいくまでやり続ける。

What is Japanese tattoo?

Wabori is not just a tattoo style.

It carries history, meaning, culture, and spirit.

From ancient body decoration to the Edo period, Japanese tattoo developed through stories, ukiyo-e, craftsmen, firefighters, townspeople, and people who lived with pride and identity.

Dragons, koi, chrysanthemums, daruma, waves, clouds, and deities are not just images.

Each motif has meaning.
Each placement follows the flow of the body.
Each piece becomes part of the person who wears it.

Tattooing comes with pain, time, money, and commitment.
