SXSW premiere of The Dads! 🤠🎬 by @59thandprairie

At @sxsw, 2024 Elevate Prize Catalyst Award winner @dwyanewade told fellow fathers of trans youth to find community and support each other, and reminded them that they aren’t alone.

Elevate Studios is extraordinarily proud to have helped produce the new feature film The Dads in partnership with @luchinafisher @stephenchukumba @59thandprairie and @littlelightprods @thedadsfoundation, and to have brought in 2021 Elevate Prize winner @alexroqueny @aliforneycenter as an impact partner.

To Dwyane and everyone who made this film a reality: thank you for telling this incredible story of fatherhood, love, and hope for trans youth in the wake of harmful threats to their livelihood 💛 by @59thandprairie

“As a parent, that’s the goal, you just want your child to feel safe enough to live their life and be happy.”

Thank you to the Hollywood Reporter for highlighting The Dads and the trans community. 🎥💙💕 by @59thandprairie

59th & Prairie is excited to announce our latest project with Alanna Bennett and her novel The Education of Kia Greer in partnership with I’ll Have Another Productions. 📖📺✅ by @59thandprairie

You wanted more and it’s here! We are thrilled to announce that our feature documentary film THE DADS will make its WORLD PREMIERE in March at @sxsw.

This project was a labor of love inspired by our Emmy-Award winning short documentary of the same name (@netflix, 2023). Four years ago, five fathers came together on a fishing trip in Oklahoma to share in a common purpose of being dads to trans and gender expansive kids. Now, as their community grows, so does anti-trans legislation and hostility nationwide. The fathers are forced to make an impossible choice: stay and fight or flee the U.S..

A heartfelt thank you to all of the dads, our partners at @thedadsfoundation, @59thandprairie, @aliforneycenter, and @elevateprize, the entire film team and everyone who has touched this important film. At such a dark moment in our country, we are strengthened by the courage and brotherhood of these fathers and honored to share this film with the world.

We will never stop standing up for our children.
