“Effort Of Love” - Key Glock x JID TYPE Beat. (NOT FOR SALE or being monetised)
Sample: @snohaalegra ‘s track “DO 4 LOVE” - ❤️🔊

@keyglock @jidsv @producergrind @producerculture

Hey everyone! Haven’t posted anything of my own that’s music related in a long while.

I’m back and I will be doing a beat series where I will be sampling some well known songs and others, which are hidden gems and less known. To avoid potential copyright issues, none of these beats will be for sale at all and this content isn’t being monetised in any way. Credit will be given to the original song and the artist will be tagged.

I’m really excited to be doing this as I’ve progressed a lot as a beatmaker and this is a part of me documenting my journey.

I wanted to start this off with the Snoh Aalegra sample, as when I previewed it a month back, it was received well and Snoh and JID saw my story of the snippet 🤩. Snoh, if you see this, you have an incredible voice - I had to sample the tail end of it. It gave a vibe of ‘03 adolescence by @realcoleworld as I was chopping up this sample, but I had a Memphis trap beat in mind.

@keyglock - your PRE5L EP inspired this beat big time. I feel like you and @jidsv would be amazing on this 😤.

“Aura” - Blxst x Bino Rideaux x Nippa x Proph TYPE Beat

Sample: “Safety” by @idkgreek

(This beat for now is not being monetised in any way, nor is it for sale)

@blxst @binorideaux @victharuler @nippa.ad @proph.17

@idkgreek - you are a talented artist. I discovered your song “Safety” and I knew I wanted to sample this. This instantly connected with me in the sense of the subject matter. My best sampled beats have always come when as I’m creating, I instantly feel the vibe and can relate to and understand the subject matter. The chorus gave me a direction of the vibe I was going for and I knew I wanted to sample this in a RnB/Late Night feels style.

I was aiming to go for a West Coast style beat where it has a rapper and a singer, similar to how 90’s and 00’s songs used to be. Greek’s vocals captured the similar 90’s inspired feeling that I was going for. I wanted the vibe to be one where you could take it in a direction of a “feel good” type melody or a “late night reminiscent” type vibe. I’m so happy these type of beats are being g brought back to the forefront.

I’ve been a fan of @blxst and @nippa.ad for a minute and to me, they are currently my favourite artists at blending the 90s sound with modern day RnB. I’m so glad this sound is finally coming back.

@proph.17 - my favourite song from you is “Baby Boy” and that was my first time hearing you on the 90’s/00’s inspired beat. I was more amazed that you produced it. The visuals that were inspired from the movie made me think of that whole era, the setting and how it all came from the West Coast.

The mix for this beat was SO LONG for me to try to get right tho 😂.

“Drug Love” - Blxst x Bino Rideaux x Nippa TYPE Beat

(Beat is NOT For Sale)

Sample: “Ladybug” by @kiyansomji and @manlikeblankface

@blxst @victharuler @binorideaux @nippa.ad

Three years ago, during covid, my friends and local Cardiff artists Blankface and Low-Kiy dropped a song called Ladybug. It was the lead single in Low-Kiy’s first debut EP called “Awake”. I instantly fell in love with the beat and the song and was really excited when they dropped the acoustic cover to it as well. However, the original had me in a different chokehold and I always had plans to sample it, but I was unsure on what direction to take it until recently.

I decided to make it into a West Coast style RnB beat, in the style that Blxst has when it comes to his beat selections. He dropped his Sixtape EP earlier this year, and him and Bino have a good chemistry together when they collab, similar to my mates Blankface and Low-Kiy

(@blxst and @binorideaux , if you happen to see this, Get Away is my favourite track from your recent EP, though your “No Love Lost” album has sonically inspired me a lot more whenever I make beats in your style). @nippa.ad has a similar sonic aesthetic (big ups to you for making Situation) which I had in mind when making this beat and it’s similar.
