Super excited to dig into this record over the weekend. Admittedly, I haven't bought a lot of records since the pandemic started but I definitely had to pick this one up. I cheated a bit and listened to it on Spotify before I got home but I still can't wait to crank it up. No one appreciates me turning up to 11in the car haha. I'm already digging this one because it doesn't seem like your typical modern rock "hey let's throw some bar chords in the chorus so we can write a hook" I'm the first one to be guilty of that but it feels like they've kind of stepped out of the box a bit with this record and gone for some different feelings and textures. It still sounds like the Foo Fighters though! @foofighters #foofighters #rockandroll #vinyl #record #records #music #savethemusicindustry #davegrohl #taylorhawkins #natemendel #chrisshiflett #patsmear #turntable #onkyo #dual Thanks @underdogrecords by @5fikev

It's official. I am an idiot! I just spent an hour of my life troubleshooting something that didn't have a problem. I went downstairs to record some vocals and I had no sound. Uuugghhh!!! I thought my mic had given up the ghost at first so I opened it up to make sure the tube was good and everything checked out. After that, I plugged it straight into the interface and it worked with no problems. Then I naturally moved onto the preamp. I tried different mics, different cables and nothing worked. So, naturally I took the preamp apart fully expecting something to be fried but everything looked good there too. So, I fired it up one last time and ultimately realized my error. The input button had been switched to a different input. I am now one of those guys who didn't check the input first. Troubleshooting 101: always check the input! (facepalm) In my defense, I have never run another input into this thing and it's always set up. So, apparently I'm not supposed to track tonight or maybe I just needed to take something apart. Either way, it's an hour wasted but I'm not angry because no actual money has left my wallet haha. It was probably one of the kids or if I'm being honest with myself it was prpbably just my clumsy hands haha. #focusrite #troubleshootingfail #mic #preamp #micpreamp #microphone #recording by @5fikev

There can be many sides to a story or an argument. I strive to be objective, open-minded and to have empathy towards every human being in most situations. However, Michael Keaton is still the best Batman. Hands down, there can be no debate! #batman #michaelkeaton #movies #cinema by @5fikev

Positively wearing a hole in this Christmas present from @tiffsvm4 The @switchfoot covers ep is really good. As a band they definitely made the most of 2020 with tons of live videos and such. The cover of Swim Good has to be my favorite song of 2020 and Stupid Deep is not far behind. Both have a vibe that lasts for days. I almost forgot the coolest part...the handwriting on the cover looks exactly like mine haha! #switchfoot #vinyl #album #record #pioneer #jonforeman #swimgood #frankocean #covers by @5fikev
