Way too pretty for dinner. Always feel blessed to see this beautiful creatures. by @5thdayimages

Well after a very long time out of the water and away from the camera I’m back diving today. Magnificent day out in the Hauraki Gulf in New Zealand. Diving Kawau Island saw a clutch of 10 beautiful crays. So blessed. by @5thdayimages

Coral in all shapes and sizes. These animals (that’s right they are not flowers, they are animals) are the reef builders laying down the structure but still flamboyantly flaunting colour and architectural grace. The ocean is a beautiful place. #coral #reef #indonesia #scubadiving #underwaterphotography #ocean #floral by @5thdayimages

Selfie Sunday! To all my awesome dive buddies out there who’ve put up with me, thanks! If you don’t have great people to share it with, what’s the point. Have an awesome day! #indonesia #divebuddy #selfie #selfiesunday #scubapro #scuba #manado #thalassadiveresort by @5thdayimages

Face of a Pipefish. Their jaw is fused together so they have to suck in tiny critters through that tube of a mouth and swallow them whole. Indonesia. #pipefish #indonesia #lembeh #scubadiving by @5thdayimages

A little turtle magic in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. On this one dive we saw 10 turtles. Great to see such a healthy population. Beautiful animals. #turtle #ocean #sea #scuba #diving #greenturtle #smile #happy #indonesia by @5thdayimages

Rainbow Mantis Shrimp. Now that is a game changer. The most sophisticated eyes in the animal kingdom, the hardest and fastest punch of any natural organism. And oh so pretty! #indonesia #mantis #eye #rainbow #thalassa #scuba by @5thdayimages

Ribbon eel. Yep it’s actually a thing. Well a fish to be even more accurate. It’s about the size of your thumb but quite a bit longer. And so damn cute waving around trying to look intimidating but just doesn’t quite have the swagger for it. #indonesia #lembeh #scuba #underwaterphotography #eel #cute by @5thdayimages

Indonesia is totally a Sea Horse festival. But this is still my absolute favourite. Pygmy Seahorse. They are not the smallest by a long shot but they are possibly the cutest. #indonesia #scubadiving #pygmyseahorse #seahorse #underwaterphotography #nikon #cute by @5thdayimages

Woohoo. Harlequin Shrimp. Such a blast diving here at Lembeh Straits. #shrimp #harlequinshrimp #lembeh #thalassa #indonesia by @5thdayimages

Best eyes in the animal kingdom. The Crocodile Fish has such texture in its eye. So much beauty in the detail. #thalassa #eye #bunaken #manado #indonesia #fish #tropical #sea #reef by @5thdayimages

It’s the #Pacific not the Caribbean so we #love our #Lionfish here! Although I think this one wasn’t smiling. #smile #indonesia #scubadiving #underwaterphotography #lion #coral #blackandwhite #scubapro by @5thdayimages
