R E C A P ❤️‍🔥 Tested Nationals 🥳
60kg open classic raw-weighed in 59.7 kg
Placed 1st
Placed 2nd raw bench only

Boyyyy was this full of ups and downs.
Squats:
303 ⚪️⚪️⚪️
325 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ meet PR
336 🔴🔴🔴 Belt unclipped coming out of the hole, such a sad moment for me bc I knew I had this. Extremely grateful for no injuries from this incident.

Bench
170 🔴🔴🔴 for first 2 attempts then all ⚪️⚪️⚪️ for 3rd attempt for Texas state record. Though this was incredibly easy… there were issues w glutes staying down and has to reassess what was happening. When adding leg drive, my glutes would flex and either made it come up slightly. Glad I just stayed on the board. I was really hoping for 190+ but I stayed in tho.

Deadlifts:
293⚪️⚪️⚪️
314⚪️⚪️⚪️
325 ⚪️⚪️⚪️ Meet PR
Mannnnn oh mannnnn dead’s were just dialed and locked in and sooo happy about this. With last deadlift, I was able to get total state record and I was afraid I came shy bc of my missed bench.

This was the best prep yet but I have so much to improve on for Worlds in November!! My team was amazing. Thankful for everyone who contributed support, love, and with donations.

God is so good. ❤️ all glory is His. ❤️‍🔥 by @60kg.ang

When your eyes are closed & you’re talking to yourself, what are you saying?
“God you are my savior, you are my armor & you are my strength. Guide me, protect me & give me strength as I do this in your glorious name.”

I say this prayer over & over & over & over. For God is living & breathing through me.

PLACED FIRST (60kg 20-23)
Topped all of my state records,
state record for deadlift 319 lbs.
Broke THREE WORLD RECORDS,
293 squat, 171 bench, 783 total.
I attempted a 4th world record (342 deadlift) since I was there.

Meet recap will come soon. For now, I’m enjoying my vacation in Vegas. I love absolutely everyone who has shown me gratitude & support. I can’t fathom all which I’ve received. This journey has been my ABSOLUTE BEST.
I want my name across the board with world & national records, I gotta compete once more before the end of the year but we’ll focus on that in a couple weeks.

Swapping the singlet for a swaddle. 🍼

The secret is out! I’ve officially switched over to bodybuilding… just for this ONE aggressive block. The stage is gonna look a little different, and the weight limit for this division is getting out of hand. 3 short weeks to go! 👣

Huge thank you to our sponsors (our amazing friends & families) who have already stepped up to be part of our village. We’re so thankful and blessed, and I am so ready for baby boy to finally arrive. 💙 by @60kg.ang

I've been chasing this 200 club for the last 2 months. Although it was one of goals in Nationals in June, didn't happen lol. No back pain, my neck pain or even headaches this week while staying active. God is so good & ill never stop praising Him.

DT Nats Flamingo in Vegas ‼️

Thankful for no injuries, not bombing out, setting 2 state records in new open division, 400+ Dots, 800+ lb total, meeting new people, being able to be a friend's handler and much more. Loss of sleep couple hours a night is catching up to me & I will post recap soon. As my body and brain are dead, thanks for bearing with me lol oh and I was selected to drug test 🫡 by @60kg.ang

The more I don't know about the weight, the better. BUT IM SO HAPPY I HIT A NEW RAW PR!!!

If you know me, you know I'm a classic raw squatter myself bc I love my wraps. But regardless of the lift or how I'm lifting it, I'd simply rather not know the weight becuae ill psych myself out. I'll let coach take care of that. 🫡

BONUS POINTS if it's kilos, idk that weight at all but honestly can barely add pound plates so idk if it truly bonus or not 🤣 by @60kg.ang

Whoever needs to hear it, Just take the trip guys ✈️

To 2023-

You were filled of many firsts im happy about.
You were most mentally challenging for when I wanted to turn back to my old habits.
You pushed me harder than I’ve ever had to work before.
You showed me what happens when I don’t hold myself accountable & showed how great I can be if I applied myself.

Many ups, some downs. I thank God for getting me through it. I didn’t look back when I made something of myself. Many still look down on me for my past decisions but don’t know the new me.

I will push myself even harder for next year, this year proved I’m worthy of all things & accomplishments.

I love all my powerlifting friends I’ve come to make this year too. The support I receive it just unbelievable.

2024, me, my friends, family and my team are going to do so many more great things.

I can’t wait for what God has in store for the future of those around me and myself. ❣️ by @60kg.ang

In honor of mental health awareness month, let’s not forget your closest, brightest smile, most friendly people might be going through it.

All diagnosed & especially untreated illnesses get thrown on the back burner. Or are belittled because these are illnesses you cannot physically see. The strongest are struggling too. Today, 5 years ago, I almost lost my life & im having a hard time this year thinking of the glass half full. I’m often judged, too much, for breaking the cycle of my come up. Often thought of “acting too good” or whatever other thoughts, but if you were to know of my story, you’d be proud of how I carry myself. There are not comparisons when it comes to pain or who’s trauma is worse. Triggers are triggers, but as a support team & community of mental health awareness, we can break the cycle of judging one another & turning stories around for the better.

I will continue to dedicate myself & to keep giving to the gym community for mental health reasons.
I’ve been Working on becoming a personal trainer & to hopefully help those specifically with psychiatric issues/disabilities to use their skills to better themselves. To help anyone start a healthy lifestyle. It’s done all the wonders for my mental health, I look forward to teaching others about too.
