My alarm was set for 2am to head to the blue zone to catch my first king of the salmon derby.

It fought like a tyee would I’m guessing, screaming out drag like crazy, but don’t let the photo fool you this one was only 13lbs😆

Hope you all have a great derby season out there with these kings! by @613angleress

I am here to inform you that the salmon haven’t showed up yet, and that the lakers are eating well😳

A day that didn’t even feel real with some of the biggest lake trout we’ve ever seen landing nine. I also caught my first rainbow in the morning after some gravol was taken. We only weighed one fish being mine at 15lbs, and that was all we needed to know!

Grateful to call this fishery, home.

A fun fish on Big Rideau today ended up with Adam and I taking the win for the Bass Cat and Yar-Craft owners tournament with 19.01lbs of all green!

We went shallow water sight fishing for largies as the weather was perfect out there. Our last derby of the year is next weekend for big bass megabucks, let’s hope we can catch a nickle to finish off bass season.

Thank you to @jpderoseoutdoors and @bassinbobby for hosting the event, looking forward to next year.

We recently had a fun trout trip trying out the new @baitfuelfishattractant forage scents. This beautiful Splake couldn’t wait for the @netbait 3.5” Prop Duster soaked in the BaitFuel Gizzard Shad to make it to bottom before it nearly spooled out Adam’s reel! These five new scents will work on any fish species, and we can’t wait to see what we catch next!

What a time to be alive💦

My kidney stones were right fired up after landing my biggest salmon of the derby this summer.

This dipsy king pulled me out to 300ft for my last run of the season coming in at under 22lbs. See you in 2027 big water.

A big fan of doing anything in the outdoors. It allows me to learn, grow, fail, and challenge myself in the hardest ways. Sometimes I am successful, but in order for it to play out perfectly, I rely on @bassproshops throughout the year for all of my outdoor gear.

One of the reasons I enjoy being apart of the Bass Pro Shops team is for our in-store events, and being able to connect with so many outdoor enthusiasts throughout the year.

This weekend I will be at the @bps_ottawa location for the fall hunting classic sale. There is also a bunch of great optics on sale from @vortex.canada that I highly recommend you take advantage of🔭🛒
•Riflescopes •Binoculars •Rangefinders and more.

Come find me in the hunting department from 10-2pm each day, and get prepared for fall hunting🍂

Cleaned out the livewell from hundreds of salmon scales, to putting a couple puking & pooping craw filled bass in there🦞

The new @baitfuelfishattractant Crawfish scent really helped with bites as the fish were gorging on craw. We got most of our fish on jigs in a couple feet of water on the new @halo.fishing.rods Poise series which was also a hit!

We haven’t fished for bass since opener so it felt weird picking up tiny rods and a small bass net compared to our salmon gear😆. A late day lightning storm came in quick so we decided to get off the water 30 minutes early. We caught some nice fish but nothing to take home money this time.

See you in October, megabucks⚖️
