@fishmongernashville just quietly opened a second location in Wedgewood-Houston, and it’s the perfect sister spot to their Germantown original.

Same fresh fish, same innovative menu, but with exclusive items you won’t find at the OG location. The decor nails that modern-meets-nautical vibe, and the owners and staff are genuinely some of the nicest people in the business.

Our highlights: clams frites, bread with lobster butter, and their always-perfect blackened grouper sandwich.

Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, the Japan National Team opened it’s doors for a public training session at GEODIS Park 🇯🇵⚽️

Fans had the chance to watch one of the world’s top soccer programs train up close, meet players, and experience the excitement leading up to the biggest stage in international football.

Nashville continues to prove itself as a growing destination for major global sporting events, and it was incredible to see the support from local fans.

If you haven’t checked out @itzaphillything you’re truly missing out on one of the best sandwiches in town.

Located in Bellevue, they’re using the freshest ingredients and even shipping in their rolls from Philly. Owner Zyhir was born and raised in Philly and when he moved to Nashville to attend TSU for college, he knew Nashville had a need for authentic cheesesteaks.

They’re seriously the best of the best - from the Philly egg rolls to the cheesesteaks and water ice, everything is incredibly flavorful and made with love. Go check them out today! #615approved

When @st.vito_focacceria says to try a pizza spot, you listen.

We popped over to @onehundredpizza in Brentwood last night and cannot believe we haven’t heard of them before.

They opened this past August and are serving up incredible New York style pizza. For us this is the best in the Nashville area. We were blown away by everything - the sauce was perfectly flavored and the 48-hour fermented dough led to a crust with just the right chew. They are making everything in house, down to the sausage.

We ordered the Sweet Hot Ricotta, which features Cup & Char pepperoni, creamy ricotta, and @mikeshothoney - only available Wednesday and Thursday!

They are family owned and put incredible care into their product and customer interactions. RUN & Go check them out ASAP - they only make 100 pizzas a day! We take our pizza seriously and this was absolutely amazing, we will be back often. #615approved

We didn’t expect the heat to hit us but the spice was real in the best way! It mellows into the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. We got it served over the chow mein and the sauce perfectly complemented the noodles.

Located in East Nashville @shopsatportereast, their cookie flavors are equal parts delicious and innovative. Everything is music inspired, from the names of each cookie to the cassette style box they’re served in.

Their menu is incredibly customizable, and everything is made-to-order, always. You can change up buns, toppings, sauces - you name it.

Some of our favorites are the classic patty melt (can’t mess with perfection) and the avocado bacon burger - sub brioche bun. And no meal for us here is complete without everything dunked in their jalapeño ranch.

As we continue to catch unique music events and pop-ups, we were blessed to stumble into something far more immersive — a coffee shop that dims the lights and completely transforms.

The metamorphosis from the buzzing daytime @cafe.babu to Bar Babu at night is intentional. A deliberate shift in energy that hands the room over to the local creative community and lets them set the tone.

On this night, we experienced Lakeshore — soulful Chicago house music by @domj.beats, anchored by the bongos of @jimmylopezpercussionist, and a Chicago-inspired menu that moved through the room like a procession. The kind that gives a space a pulse, like a strong beating heart.

We also got the privilege of tasting @chefshaticka’s creations. A Chicago-rooted, deeply flavorful menu that hits with intention. The Chicago Beef was succulent, and the jus — the jus left us in awe. Chef Shaticka’s pursuit of building culinary experiences around community truly comes to life inside Babu’s landscape.

The cocktail program holds its own too. The Desi Derby Old Fashioned, crafted with a distinct Indian whiskey, is easily one of our favorite Old Fashioneds in the city.

This is a communal experience you don’t just attend — you feel it. Strongly recommend pulling up to @cafe.babu on a night they’re collaborating with other pioneers in the space. #615approved
