Original Neumann u87 from 1984

The cradle says EMI but whether they’ve always lived together is anyone’s guess. The chord certainly isn’t original but it grew on me. Picked this up from a retiring mic tech a few years back and it’s been on countless sessions since: vocals, acoustic guitar, room mic, and even one overdub session for Westlife.

40+ years old and still somehow one of the best
