Black Hills BDRX Section 1 was a lot of fun. Suga ate it up! Some pretty fun single track and 2 track mixed into the fantastic views and curvy mountain roads.
We popped into the Nemo Mercantile, and Ashley, the aspiring auto mechanic, bartender, bar-back, bus-girl, took care of us... that girl is a machine!
I was so pumped to ride that I didn't get a lot of pictures. 🤷🤦🏼‍♂️ taken in Nemo, Black Hills SD by @650suga

Found some unpaved roads this afternoon and went and played in the Sam Houston national forest. About 180-mile shakedown of the service items and new tires.

Taller gearing from the 14/42 I had on it previously. 15/43 gave the engine a break on the highway and wasn't unmanageable in the forest. I have the chain a bit long to move the moment back about 1/2 (13mm) back. Good and stable in a slide, a little bucky in the whoops (🤷 it's a DR).

The Tusk Dsport on the rear and 2Track on the front are a very predictable performing duo. I was reminded of why I liked the Dsport it's not too squirmy on the slab and grips pretty much anything off.

The 2Track is super wide, which helped the DR650 float the front on the sand and over the roots. On the pavement, it didn't howl (Dsport does a little) didn't wander and stuck in the corners for as much as I'm going to push a DR on blacktop. taken in Sam Houston National Forest by @650suga

A little project... Tires (Dsport rear/2Track front), front wheel bearings, stem bearings, valve adjustment (.001 tight at 16k), swing arm bearings lube, chain/sprockets whoo hoo! Maybe check the charge on the shock.🤷 taken in Cypress, Texas by @650suga
