Same angler. Two loops. Two completely different presentations.

Narrow loop = soft landing.
Wide loop = splash down (and spooked fish).

Being able to read the depth of water is extremely important. It helps identify where fish are and as a warning while wading. Color can tell you so much. And yes, clear is a color when it comes to fishing, lol. by @706flyguyofficial

Starting to build out my new 2026 Subaru Outback to become my "Base Camp" as I begin taking my once a month fly fishing road trips for the next 12 months. My goal is to bring awareness to how we can use fly fishing as a tool to help combat mental health issues.
