Summer of 2026

Well #Lorraine just can't seem to get enough of having a "Spa Day". She's basically been at The Spa for the past six weeks. A leak kept popping up near the bell housing of the transmission. After a few times of trying to refit and change torque convertor seals, the tranny was pulled and sent for an overhaul to see what might be a hidden problem.

Sure enough, the teardown revealed the root cause. This transmission has been out before. Maybe for an overhaul. What was found by my guys, was the pump gears were installed backwards! After the rebuild and reinstall, multiple days of testing before the car was turned over back to me. I punched it home and after a gas stop and a wobbly pop store stop, drove home & checked in the driveway for leaks. NO LEAKS!!! Woohoo!!!

My main focus for this car is not the astetics, but that this car is mechanically sound. My wife asked me if I was upset losing so much of the Summer to drive the car. I said, no. The journey with the car as it's current guardian, is to make sure it is indeed mechanically sound. The optimistic mindset is, I still have a lot of time before November/December weather starts to roll out in Southwestern Ontario.

Annual oil treatment done! This is the second time since owning. It will be a forever annual event while I'm the guardian of this car. Last year was the first time, and the business doing the work, knew it had never had the rockers done as they had to drill and plug it afterwards. All of her life, this car was south of the border. In September 2024, #Lorraine crossed the border to now reside in Canada.

Only time she'll see water now that I'm caring for her, is after her oil spray spa treatment. 😊

She's had enough beauty sleep & makeover at the spa. She'll be checking out soon enough & heading home.

Went and saw #Lorraine today. Her spa day will soon come to an end. She sounded quite aggressive with some of the upgraded work done. All because the gaskets were leaking all over the place. Like Clark W. Griswold Jr. said, "Fixed the newel post!" 🤣

A little Xmas gift for #Lorraine came today! Ordered the upgrade to the Marti Report back in the Summer. It takes several months to have the data gathered and frame it all up. Wife said "Where's that going?" 🤣🍻🎄🎅

The set is complete! Scouring Ebay to find them all over the place over the past year.
