POSTS STORIES REELS

Rewatching some footage from my first race weekend.

This is my first time really riding this bike. Superbikes are alotttt of bike and I can see myself struggling to keep up with the bike.

Some minor changes to my lines, braking points and body position aswell as a bit more fitness and I think It will be enough to shave 2 maybe 3 seconds off my times.
I anticipate after I clean a few things up and get those few seconds that the progress from there will be a lot slower.

Round 5 coming this weekend, keen to see if I can make some improvements now that I have a good idea of where I am losing time and the things I'm doing wrong. by @72_damonboswell

I almost died sandwiched between @johnnylytras_308 and @mikejonesracing
Humbling to ride with the pros!
felt so much scarier than it was 😅
Zx10rr sounds amazing though 😍

4 months ago as of this weekend I lost my mother to cancer and lost myself in the grief afterwards.
I lost my motivation to stunt and ride, sold all my bikes to get back down and be there for her untill the end with no plan for what come after that, just knowing I had to be there and whatever after that didn't really matter.

Bikes have always been one of the most important things in my life outside of family, the things that helped me clear my head, the things to get me into the most trouble and also one of the things to keep me out of it best

Most bike riders get it.

But I had let them all go and with no real plan I was just existing untill @linnoz roped me into doing a track day, I talked the talk saying I would be fast and she said well go walk the walk and sorted me out her cbr650r.

2 track days later were looking at race bikes cause the 650 just wasn't up to the pace on track.

Not long later we had the zx10rr, we were looking for 600s like r6s and the likes but we seen the zx10rr and after looking at it in person were pretty much sold on it.

An Ex asbk wet bike ridden by Callum springs as well as Mike Jones, then owned by Rhys Matthews, this was a bike with a bit of a story behind it, ridden by some talented riders.
Perfect for the next part of my story and we even got to stay team green.

Days later we decided we were committed to this whole track bike thing and we were going to start racing so we searched the Web for vans and found two down in melbourne perfect for what we needed so a quick flight down to Melbourne and 2 days of driving back up later we had moto vans and track bikes ready to race.

Fast forward 2 weeks to the weekend past and we had both done our first race weekend and done extremely well

My first race fell exactly 4 months after I lost the most important person in my life and all direction, and from the second I lined the zx10rr up on grid, sat it on launch control and sent it down the straight into turn one with 20 or so other superbikes, I felt alive again.

Even tho she wasn't there in person I could feel her there watching over me and keeping me safe.
I hope my podium for my first race weekend makes you proud mum ❤️ by @72_damonboswell
