Hey folks, we're very excited to be starting classes again this month! Check out our offerings and go on over to Eventbrite to secure your ticket (link in bio). Classes are better with friends, and we do require at least two participants per class, so why not ask a friend to join you.

We are exactly one week away from HRRJL’s abortion care package assembly event and we are SO excited! 🤭💃🏾 We hope to see you at Elation Brewery in Norfolk on Sunday November 8th from 12-3 to help us fill and decorate the care packages to disperse to local clinics in the 757

We have gotten a good amount of donations so far so thank you so much to our community for showing up! 🧡 Our biggest need right now is pads. We still need about 546 pads (overnight and regular) to meet our care package goal. We also need more fuzzy socks, portable menstrual heating patches (individually wrapped preferred) and fun items like coloring activities, mini body scrubs, and face sheet masks.

Either order items off of our Amazon wish list (link in bio!) or drop donations off in person. All donations should be dropped off at Norfolk locations by 11/7 and Virginia Beach, Hampton and Newport News locations by 11/5. You can also bring items for donation to the assembly event on 11/8. See you there! 🥳 by @757creativereusecenter

Check out our adorable sewing studio we put together today! Classes coming soon 🧵🪡🧵

We had such a successful #plantingourfuture event last Saturday 🌱 thank you to @757creativereusecenter for providing the space, @elizabethriverproject for the trees/bushes/volunteers and leading a class, to @norfolkmstrgrdnrs and @coastalcastingsva for providing workshops and for @keepnorfolkbeautiful for tabling as well. A big thank you to all who weathered the rain to come out and support us, learn, and grow! #growyourownfood #communitysupport by @757creativereusecenter

Saturday, October 17th, please join us from 9am - noon to plant some fruit trees! We’ve partnered with our friends at Community Farmers and the Elizabeth River Projects to expand our edible and native plant garden. We’ll be planting apples, peaches, blueberries, serviceberries, and paw-paw trees. Bring some gloves and a shovel and lay the groundwork to help us feed our community. Next Saturday, October 24, is the Highland Park Halloween Party. Many of the businesses on Colley Ave will have candy for the kiddos. Get a stamp on your map at each location to be entered to will raffle prizes, including a gift card to the 757 Creative ReUse Center.

Thank you all so much for showing up for our Grand ReOpening this past Sunday. We knew to expect a crowd, but we were just shocked by how many people came to shop! We had well over three hundred customers making it our busiest shopping day ever. We were particularly pleased by the diversity of the crowd. Literally every single kind of person was represented. I think we’re still recovering from the intensity of it all. It was raining, the parking lot was full, the streets were flooded, then the power faltered, and around 3pm it went out completely for over an hour, but y’all just kept shopping with flashlights. And you waited, very patiently, for me to check you out on my phone. Thank you so much for bearing with us through all the excitement.
.
We also want to extend a huge thank you to all of our partners who came out to help us celebrate. The Weavers Guild of Tidewater did hands-on weaving demonstrations throughout the day, the @chryslermuseum and the @virginiamoca did crafts with the crowd, @prsl_757 swabbed folks for a bone marrow registry and handed out harm reduction supplies, @hrrjlva tabled and gave away supplies, @keepnorfolkbeautiful donated a trash can which was painted by Heidi Joy of @highjoylove and all of you all helped, and @moreamorbakery, @plantbasedbros and @williams_fresh_lemonade provided us with snacks and drinks all day! I hope I remembered everyone!
.
Regular hours starting this week. Tuesday through Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 12-6.
