It’s been a year and 4 months since I almost lost my life in this car accident. On March 15, 2024 I was fully stopped in the median when I was hit by a speeding van in the side of my door, T-boning me. This caused my car to spin around & flip on its roof—where I was then struck again by an SUV from oncoming traffic. August is National Traffic Awareness month. Speeding, texting & driving, driving under the influence, driving tired, etc. is so normalized that people think it’s cool. I encourage everyone reading this to drive safe, stay alert, & wear your seat belt. It’s not just your life at stake, but everyone else’s on the road too. It was nothing but God’s grace that I came out alive from this accident. I suffered from internal bleeding, a fractured pelvis, 2 herniated discs in my lower back, & a body full of bone bruises—considering the severity of the accident they were surprised I was even alive, let alone not injured more. A year later and I can proudly say I’ve made pretty much a full recovery. I went from being pulled from the car, standing up & walking around immediately after the crash to not being able to walk in less than 24 hours.
