my grandma, my tita, by me :) (72)
last instillation of my immediate family portraits, next is friends then me <3
my grandma was vice president of voces de baja california, a non profit school choir that supported & specialized in singing classic mexican music. she would sing with them and did publicity for them throughout the 60s and 70s, they once performed for cbs.

she was also captain of her schools color guard. she met my grandma working at her family’s pharmacy, he was a mechanic and would come in and she decided to take a chance on his attempts of trying to get to know her.

she’s a very devout catholic, when i was little i really wanted to be a priest and participated a lot on the church because of her influence. she would make my costumes for nativity plays in the church and i wanted the last portrait of immediate family to communicate she’s responsible for everyone before, everyone’s looks are behind her while she sews my sisters veil. she finished her ged here in the united states, and became a ta for lausd. i’m surprised she agreed to letting me shoot these, but here we are lollll by @777terrence
