Wow. Just wow. I am humbled and honored . Thankful is an understatement ,I continue to let as many people know where I come from because this type of recognition isn’t realistic for kids raised in the inner city . Thankful to have a wife that allows me to spend countless hours in a gym perfecting my craft , and giving back to others unselfishly , as God would want me to do . I love you beyond words @brandiexoxoo . My family , has been the best support system I could ever ask for . To my mother and grandmother , who died 5 years ago and 3 years ago , I just wanted to always make you smile , you both would always tell me I was special , well, today God said I can be historic . Thank you Jesus . Back to Back 🙏🏾

@naismithtrophy thank you for recognizing me , I don’t take it for granted , I take it as a true responsibly to continue to impact this game . God bless you all. by @7daysbasketball

This is the part of my life called , Thankful. In my first year as a high school head coach , a lot of emotions were involved . Would I fail? Could I improve a culture ? Would I be respected ? So many questions , without any answers . I tell people all the time , I am nothing without God, and I don’t want to be . I was raised in a city where we don’t get recognized for coaching and mentorship . My testimony is worth a million words , but I’ll humbly say this , I worked , and will continue to do so. Naismith coach of the year is an honor , but nothing would have been done without my family . My wife , and children who allow me to be in the gym countless nights without compliant because they want me to be great . I love you all. Thank you , to my circle ! We will continue to rise because we know the true and living God!

What Coach Dre Cummings is building at Ontario Christian is truly special! 🔥 With back-to-back National Coach of the Year honors and a 2026 National Championship, he’s developed one of the elite, premier girls basketball programs in the country. 🏀

The Lady Knights are led by the nation’s No. 1 recruit, Kaleena Smith, who put on an absolute SHOW with 39 points and 1️⃣1️⃣ three-pointers vs the St. James Academy 🎯 Alongside Virginia Tech commit Dani Robinson and top-five sophomore Chloe Jenkins, this Ontario Christian team is loaded with talent and has an incredibly bright future ✨

I also got to sit down with Special K for a halftime conversation, full video is available through the link in my bio 🎥 taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @7daysbasketball

When I got in to coaching the first thing I thought , I wanted to get the best players ever and win every game. Not knowing God would use me to love these kids , beyond their talent level. Today, we lost a great kid . Kenny , was special in so many ways, always respectful , always caring , and coachable more than anyone I’ve coached . I will think about you and remember you forever young fella! We love you , you’re forever a 7 days member to the heart . REST in PEACE!!!!
