✨ A new landmark is about to shine in Fort Kent!

Join us Friday, September 19 at 6:45 PM on the University of Fort Kent Sports Center Quad for the unveiling of Landmark, a new public art installation by artist Robert Brochu.

This illuminated sculpture, created through the Maine Percent for Art Act, will be officially “lit” by the artist in a special ceremony during UMFK’s Homecoming. Don’t miss the chance to see this work come to life for the very first time.

I’m really getting my hands dirty on this one! My first solo day on the Vandercook letterpress. After years of creating designs to be run on a printing press, I never imagined myself being on the other side and operating one. This press exists in the same space where I create my screen prints at @pickwickindependentpress. So, I decided to take a workshop to learn what this thing is all about. Come print this postcard with me at Cultural Advocacy Day on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 1–4 p.m. at the Hall of Flags in the State House in Augusta, Maine.

Organized each Spring by @culturalmaine , this event gathers creative organizations from across Maine to honor and support the impact of culture in our communities.

There will be performances and opportunities to meet elected officials, increasing visibility and support for cultural access and the creative economy.

The postcard design features phrases from my LANDMARK sculpture at The University of Maine at Fort Kent.

I’ll be there with some ink and a screen-printing press, ready for you to print your very own postcard.
