💜Marcides Sunrise Tavares 9/11/32-7/15/24💜 A huge part of my heart went to Heaven today. My Abuelita, my tūtū, my grandma, my world-is now reunited with the love of her life, my grandpa Abel Tavares. She is my hero, the reason why I’m named Sunrise, why I’m such a hustler, and the reason why I love Chinatown, cake noodle and jindui. My dear friend, Joyce-it’s been tough hearing the news of your passing. I just can’t process knowing that you’re not in this physical world anymore. I keep reminiscing of all of the Lion fight events we’ve done together; the endless house parties; the traveling for fights, the gym talks, the bar drinks, the heart to heart talks, everything. 🥹 Thank you for being such a great friend and supporter. Thank you for being my keeper of secrets and for helping me get out of the dark places that almost consumed me. Your friendship meant the world to me. As part of our Aloha Care Project with our non profit @mana_o_ka_lahui , we are spreading the Aloha today to our Las Vegas unhoused and less fortunate friends. Our very first time going to @ethelmchocolates to see the candy factory and cactus garden, which were beautifully adorned with Christmas lights.
