Always grateful for Straight Up Surfboards and Uncle Kim Purington for always taking care of me, Ronin for always sporting me out with the best shades, and Ocean Grom Leashes for always keeping me attached to my board. Definitely wouldn’t be here either without Uncle Trent and Oneula Beach Club.

Sometimes we’re lucky enough to score moments like this with the people we consider family. 🌊🙏

You try to explain how good the session was, but some mornings are almost impossible to put into words.

The sound of the ocean.
The smell of the air.
The stoke after catching a great wave.
Your friends cheering you on.
The good convos between sets.
Sometimes, just the silence of it all is so peaceful.

It’s all part of what keeps us coming back.

Before we paddle out, we pray—for protection, for each other, and with gratitude for simply being able to experience another morning on the ocean.

This picture from this morning captures a small piece of what we’re grateful for.

Good waves. Good friends. Another beautiful morning in God’s Country.

@diegosantos808 blazing the trail in the finals. This was his first wave, and the first wave of the heat. Horn blew and all the guys were racing to incoming wave and Diego was on it. Such a killer finals. Seriously, everyone was watching a Tour Level Show and it was unreal!

Pretty stoked watching Kapono’s heats this year. He definitely showed up different, and it wasn’t just me that noticed. His first heat he absolutely cranked it. The score cards were proof that we all saw the same things. He absolutely crushed it and came out in 1st and 2nd place scores were not even close. @hawaiisurfandperformance would have been super proud of not just his prep but also his execution, mahalo Kahea for all you do for him 🙏💯

Second round Kapono got lucky and made it into the finals. Not as strong as his first heat, but enough to get him a seat at the table. This clip was in his final. Definitely proud of the progress he is making and excited for what is to come.

Kama and Ikaika are right behind him. Gonna be a fun ride for sure.

Thank you @straightupsurf and @puringtonsurfboards for always taking care of the boys. @ronineyewearhi and @ronin_the_tour_life Pono showed up for sure.
