Early ’90s Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer tee on a Stedman Super Hi-Cru. Rare portrait variant.

✅ SOLD ✅

Shot on 16mm in Chicago for roughly $100k, Henry was completed in 1986 but became so controversial that it didn’t receive a proper U.S. theatrical release until 1990. The MPAA gave it an X rating—and reportedly told the filmmakers that no amount of cutting could earn it an R, because the problem wasn’t simply the violence, but the film’s entire nihilistic tone.

That controversy ultimately helped turn a tiny independent film into a cult landmark.
