This is another origami box that is a good companion for pocket notebooks. If you combine this with the masu box from yesterday, you can have a complete box with a base and lid.

This base is 6x6 inches, and the masu box lid is 4 3/8 square.

From cruise brochure to pocket notebook. ✂️📓

This Crystal Cruises sales brochure arrived in the mail, and instead of recycling it, I turned the cover into a handmade pocket notebook.

Sometimes the best notebook materials are things that were never intended to become notebooks.

This is what happens when a notebook person accidentally discovers a stationery store while traveling. 😂

I’m in Washington, DC for work and found Jenni Bick Custom Journals. It’s basically a storefront JetPens—and, yes, I bought a few things.

Stickers, a Hobonichi template, a letterpress postcard, a handmade pocket notebook, and some Leuchtturm A6 notebooks all came home with me.

The “Hello, I’m weird about pens” sticker may have been the most accurate purchase. ✒️📓

AI voice or your own voice? 🎙️

For a recent work video, I initially used ElevenLabs to generate the narration. But then I recorded the same script myself—and decided I liked the result better.

My workflow is pretty simple: I record with my earbuds and Voice Record Pro 7, then process the audio with Auphonic using its broadcast settings.

AI voices can sound great, but getting the pacing, emphasis, and delivery just right can take some work. For me, recording and processing my own voice is often faster—and it sounds like me.

If you create videos, don’t overlook the voice you already have.
