Curating Images Last Forever has been a journey nothing short of transformational. In compiling this retrospective of the past four years, I've found that I was simultaneously charting my own growth as a visual artist. My aspiration is for this catalog to transcend borders and resonate with viewers across the globe.

Ultimately, this collection stands as a modern masterpiece. An enduring testament to the vibrant soul of South Africa that proves our stories are not just fleeting moments, but art that will Last Forever.

IMAGES LAST FOREVER 2

The sequel to the lookbook experience. Learning as I go through tribulation and triumph. Sleepless nights, fallouts, and last-minute endeavors all contributed to the making of this project. One of the lessons I've learned while compiling this collection is consistency and patience. It's not all about talent. It's about dependability, consistency, and being able to improve.

As we build up and collect the pieces for the trilogy, I want to take the opportunity to thank God, first and foremost, for the creative gift he has given me. Colossians 1:9-13 is the only message I saw fit to add to this collection.

I want to thank my collaborators as well as creatives I got the opportunity to share the stage with. I've learnt so much and I stand grateful for the lessons. To those who support me, it never goes unnoticed. Thank you for your continuous support. I can't wait to share the 3rd with you. Small steps towards the bigger picture, one frame at a time.

Inga Nontshibongo 🇿🇦 (@8kstudios.co) is a South African documentary and lifestyle photographer documenting urban culture through music, fashion, sport, events, and the people who bring these spaces to life.

His four-year project Images Last Forever brings together these interests in an ongoing record of South African people, places, and cultural spaces. Influenced by his background in visual art and film, Inga pays close attention to light, colour, movement, and composition while keeping the atmosphere of each moment at the centre of the image.
