Local dance music champion, community organizer, radio host, and purveyor of the underground Le Schlippy @le_schlippy delivers our August 2026 guest mix. A departure from their usual Minimal/Dub Techno sound, they bring a heavy hitting mix of Bassy breaks, Techno, and UK Garage. Perfect for a summer night not to be played before 12am! LINK IN BIO

——————————————————————————————

Le Schlippy is a Cleveland-based DJ known for an expansive musical knowledge and an
intuitive ability to adapt to any dancefloor. Guided by instinct rather than rigidness, each set is

crafted in real time, drawing from House, Techno, Electro, UK Garage, Bass, Disco, and beyond
to create immersive journeys that respond to the energy of the room.
Blending technical precision with improvisation, layered textures, live effects, and seamless
transitions, Le Schlippy delivers hypnotic, psychedelic, and rhythm-driven performances that
prioritize movement, connection, and storytelling. Having shared the stage with artists including
Danny Daze, Ardalan, Soul Clap, Farsight, BEIGE, and Huey Mnemonic, they have earned a
reputation for thoughtful curation and versatile performances.
Beyond the decks, Le Schlippy is the founder of Over The Hump Radio, Phase:Zero, serves as
a resident DJ on Cleveland’s XCSB Alternative Media, and co-hosts Cleveland’s monthly Open
Decks at Crobar, helping cultivate and support the city’s underground electronic music
community.

Very excited about this month’s guest mix with New York City’s @toribious_monk . Toribio met us at the 904L HQ and recorded this glorious mix in person last month. We had a blast sharing space and conversation ahead of his show at @crobar1921 . The mix is an offering of his signature rhythmic, syncopated, jazzy, and Afro Latin selections and is truly made for listening above all else. Real music heads will enjoy. LINK IN BIO

As bandleader, vocalist, and key instrumentalist of the live house fusion band Conclave, he earned critical acclaim with a debut album named one of Resident Advisor’s best in 2021 and praised by Rolling Stone and the New Yorker. His work as a DJ and producer has taken him to stages from Boiler Room and Glastonbury to clubs in Mexico City, Berlin, and Tokyo, with his productions earning support from legends like Gilles Peterson and Theo Parrish, and remixes from Louie Vega and Joe Claussell.

This foundation in musical mastery now informs his work as a sonic healer and community builder. Through Brooklyn block parties (@publicservice_nyc ), his imprint B.D.A., and deep listening experiences like Sala Sessions, Toribio creates spaces where music becomes medicine—where careful curation and intentional soundscapes guide others into presence, connection, and embodied healing.
