I’ve been busy behind the scenes over summer on a couple of different projects, so have been a bit quiet on here. But I’m starting to re-emerge and think about new projects for Autumn / Winter. So this is just a little reminder of my story & what I love doing. Print is my passion, but I’ll admit, it’s not easy. It’s taken years to learn the ropes (& I’m still learning) so that is why I really want to help others navigate their own print projects. The tattoo industry has changed in recent years - with the experience becoming almost more important than the tattoo itself. People are spending more time choosing an artist whose work they love, whose values align with their own & in a place they’ll feel comfortable. We’ve been chatting to @dianaveidenthaler - a tattoo artist based in East Lothian about her journey into her career & how creating a truly beautiful & tranquil space to welcome her clients was a dream she had to realise. When I was creating our PLACES to Eat book earlier this year, I noticed how a lot of hospitality venues either don’t have professional imagery or they only focus on the food, and forget about the space, the people & the atmosphere. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m always banging on about the importance of telling your business story through great photography, and these venues are no exception. A little throwback to this shoot for Nathalie Bond, which I styled and captured in my studio as part of 91 Editions’ Small Business Stories (ft. the infamous fake bed actually made up of some plastic stacking boxes🤣). ⁠ ⁠ I loved bringing these skincare products into little lifestyle scenes, from the dressing table to the bedside and actually being used. The packaging had such lovely bold colours too, so they really popped against all the light, neutral surroundings. 🤍⁠ ⁠ The @91editions website is filled with some really beautiful articles featuring small businesses like this one, from shop owners to creative makers and brand designers to photographers, which are all worth a read if you need a little inspo. taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @91editions

It’s Bookshop Day! 📚 Aren’t bookshops just the perfect place to spend a rainy autumnal afternoon?! Whether it’s a second hand shop with its jumble of worn spines, or a polished design book store, I love nothing more then browsing the beautiful covers, and thumbing the pages. Special moments happen in bookshops: When you spot one of your own books nestled on the shelves, or finding your child curled up on the floor enjoying an impromptu story. 💔 These are just a few of my own bookshop moments from my travels, From Margate and Hay on Wye (of course!), to Paris and Mexico.
