Thank you as well to everyone who came along to our opening last night. It felt really special to share the evening with friends, whānau, and the community down here in Waihōpai.

GAG is on this friday (July 25th), from 5pm for ONE NIGHT ONLY!!

Join us in celebrating the first run of The Green Room as we come to a close. GAG, our final show, features works by TGR co-founders Geo Thompson-Skipworth, Alex Golding, and George Brunton.

Geo Thompson-Skipworth (Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Kahungunu) is a multi-disciplinary artist working in Ōtautahi, Aotearoa. A graduate of Ara Institute of Canterbury (2024), her work moves between disciplines, drawing on the symbolic and the tactile to explore ideas of whakapapa, whenua, and cultural memory. Grounded in a personal journey of reo reclamation and guided by kaupapa Māori, her practice reconfigures relationships between language, material, and form.

Endlessly grateful for this taonga that ties together all the braided rivers of my lineage & loved ones

A deeply personal piece to celebrate my time studying at Ara

Thank you to all our teachers first and foremost - you went above and beyond! Thank you to all my friends and whānau who supported me throughout the degree - it takes a community <3
