Transaxle celebration day at the Porsche museum, picture dump # 3 Still soaking in how many amazing and unique transaxle cars were in attendance. Such a great variety of colors, options, mods, and of cars that came from countries all over Europe. I'm just feeling grateful I was able to attend! πŸ“ Porsche museum, Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen Germany by @944barn

This year I purchased two cars in England: a Cobalt blue 1991 944S2 and a Midnight blue 1992 968. Last week my friends Mike & Kristin flew from Oregon to meet Julie and I in England, and we did an epic road trip across parts of Europe! Here's a collection of pictures of the two cars on our adventures. Most of my favorite pictures are from Switzerland as the views there are insanely stunning. But each country was beautiful to see and we enjoyed every minute of it. One of the highlights was visiting the Porsche museum in Stuttgart Germany for the 944/968 celebration event. I will post pictures of that separately. We drove for 8 days logging 1700 miles across 6 countries. These are old cars, both higher mileage and need lots of work, but impressively both cars survived without any real trouble. Still, I would rather take a few roadside repairs in cars like these over just renting a boring modern vehicle. πŸ˜… A trip like this gives you a deeper appreciation and sentimental connection with the car. Both cars will be shipped home to the US this month. This adventure wouldn't have been possible without the help of a few friends we've made. Thanks big time to @87_924s and @vas_projects for helping facilitate the purchase, retrieval, and storage of the cars. Thanks also to @open.air.imports and @dubstock.co for making the process easy of shipping the two cars over to the US! Can't wait for them to arrive so I can start fixing them up. 😁 by @944barn

Track lobby at @944fest πŸ›ž A few pics taken while walking across the paddock at VIR during 944fest weekend. I missed way more cars in the front corner over by where the @lufteknic guys were pitted so apologies to anyone I missed! by @944barn
A few shots from @944fest Friday evening group photos. I can't explain why but this is one of my favorite parts about 944fest.. maybe because it bridges the gap between those who've been busy on the track all day and those who've never been on the track before. It's like the first time you really get to see the scale of the event. And it's also the perfect chance to catch up with some friends who've been busy doing other stuff all day. I was parked towards the back and I spent so much time talking to so many people that I only made it halfway up the line before it was time to roll, so I missed my chance to take pictures up towards the front half. πŸ™ƒ by @944barn
