Meet Sasha, our team spotlight this week ☕

If you spot someone carrying two coffees across the cafe at the pace of a royal procession, that's Sasha. Slow, steady, laser-focused, and not a single drop hits the floor. We respect the craft.

Sasha runs our barista station, and she has a talent we still can't explain: tell her nothing, and she'll guess the drink you were about to order. Come test her. She's rarely wrong.

Off the bar, she's behind a camera. Photography is her love, which might explain why our drinks always seem to land in front of you looking picture-ready.

When we asked what she loves most about 96 Royal, she didn't mention the coffee or the crepes. She said the people: this team, and the connections she gets to build with every customer who walks through our doors. That's exactly the kind of heart we hire for.

Some people drive 1,400 miles and make their very first stop a little cafe on Washington Street. 🤎

Our friends came all the way from Houston, Texas, and before they went anywhere else in the DMV, they came to sit with us at Royal. Full cups, full hearts, and yes, the flower wall did its thing. ☕️🌸

This is what we built 96 Royal for: a place worth the drive, where friends old and new feel at home the moment they walk in. Thank you Houston, you have our whole hearts. 🙏🏾
