what began as a series of visual meditations on Black innovation and creativity evolved into time well spent exploring Afrofuturism as a philosophical toy. playing with circles and spirals and the words of giants. this was an intuitive process for me, and its abstraction is not only fun, it is necessary.

When I Say Afrofuturism, This Is What I Mean.

between musings about time travel, the full scope of my thoughts lives on the site in my bio. loved every bit of unraveling I had to do to get to a spaceship of my own. i also had a lot of fun putting together an accompanying playlist full of Black dreams for a Black world. it is public on Spotify :) in truth, there is always more to say on the frontier of possibility for Black life and so i may never be done speaking about it

Meet Destiny Benson, one of our official Petals & Perspectives🌸 Bob Photographers, documenting ENVSN Festival 2026 through her own perspective!

As part of Petals & Perspectives, Destiny was invited to explore the festival through our JAMDED creative prompts, experiment with her new Canon PowerShot V10, and capture the moments, details, and energy that spoke to her throughout the weekend.

In this spotlight, Destiny shares her favorite features of the V10, her go-to Canon camera setup, and how she approached telling the story of ENVSN from behind the lens guided by our JAMDED creative prompts.🎨

Petals & Perspectives, curated by JAMDED and powered by Canon, was created to celebrate emerging visual storytellers while building a collective visual archive of ENVSN Festival through the eyes of our community.

Thank you to @canonusa for supporting our Bob photographers with the tools to create, and to @envsnfest for welcoming JAMDED into the weekend and giving us the space to bring Petals & Perspectives to life!🫂💕 by @99.problems
