To swimming, not such a typical sport for a black young man but I’m not such a typical guy. Swimming has been a constant in my life since I was 4 years old. I’ve played almost every sport you can think of but nothing will ever compare to my love for swimming. From swimming competitively recreationally and in high school, along with coaching I knew that this passion for swimming could not stop

Coming to Norfolk State , I wanted to start a swim team at the school. Although that couldn’t happen at the time, I decided to recharter the club. Seeing that eventually my vision will come to fruition and one day Norfolk State will have a swim team.

Being the swim club president since 2022 allowed me to make connections , learn how to get swimming out there for more people to learn and let me enjoy the sport I love.

To Mr Dean and Dr. Anderson, thank you both for seeing my vision and allowing me to take the lead. You guys were great coaches/ advisors and I know as this club continues to grow and win, we will be able to get the end goal. To all of my teammates, thank you for trusting me to lead you guys these past few years. Nothin will ever beat our trips to ATL and I hope the tradition continues.

Even though my college swim journey is over, that is not the end for my passion for swimming. This year I will be continuing my coaching journey as the 2nd Year Head Coach at Indian River High School. And who knows, I may be back one day to Coach at NSU(Fingers Crossed)

Rest if you must, but don’t you quit; a poem I carried in my journey to and through alpha and now in my everyday life

Thank you to the Epsilon Pi Chapter for seeing potential in a young man unsure of all he could accomplish , you all allowed me to grow and learn all I could give. Once I saw the light , I never looked back. Appreciative to all my pros for every guiding word, caring action, and endless support

To Spr. 24: My first set of neos , I couldn’t have asked for such a versatile and dynamic bunch. You all gave me a run for my money but I hope as you look back you always remember that the love and care for you guys never became weary , I see so much for you alls future and I’m happy to be yalls immediate prophyte.

To Spr. 25: Man , beings yalls ADP is one of the greatest things Alpha has given me. Creating my bond with each of you and being a persistent part of yalls Alpha journey is one I do not take lightly. I love the 10 of you forever and always. Continue to progress not only in alpha but in life. What’s to come for X , no one is ready for , the yard is yours , give it everything you have!

To my Brothers: When god blessed this only child with 12 brothers I didn’t know what to do! I love you all with every breath in my body. Through every blood, sweat , tear, argument and laugh , I’d never want to have had my journey be alongside anyone else. You guys have helped me in ways I could never explain and have showed up for me more than I have time to tell. We saw , we came, and we conquered this campus and now we go through this thing called life apart but never alone. It’s us against the world forever and wherever life takes us, 23361 will forever be in our hearts.

Continuing to move forward in my journey in Alpha , I’ll forever be indebted to the 324th house and Ik wherever I go Epsilon Pi will always be home.

To the Epsilon Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.,

I want to first say thank you for allowing the young sophomore Aaron to represent your chapter for two years. Every person I’ve come in contact with has treated me with nothing but love and kindness. It was a position I took with pride and will forever cherish because you ladies always show “ain’t no chapter greater”

To SPR 21: Y’all mean the absolute world to me forever and always. Thank you guys for all the support , advice, and guidance over these last few years. From every laugh, argument , ft call and food runs , you really became big sisters to me. Shout to the best pageant moms ever! You all really started my pageant journey and I’ll always be appreciative for that. Yall hold an extra special place in my heart. Forever the worrisome little brother yall never knew you needed but welcomed with open arms and a big heart

To SPR 23: THEE BEST SANDZ I COULD EVER ASK FOR! The bond I share with 23 is irreplaceable, being you alls king left me with so much joy because yall always showed up and showed out. In everything I did , yall supported me like I was one of your own. You ladies really gave everything your all and made me proud to be an Epsilon Theta king!

To the ladies in the picture: Although my bonds run deep and strong throughout this chapter, you all really have become such important people in my life. Yall have been advice givers , listening ears, shoulders to lean on, laughing partners and so much more. Y’all really are pieces of my heart that I’ll always cherish! Thank you ladies for being the sisters I always wanted !

To my Pageant Brothers: Tyheim and Keighton , thank you both for always being a true brother to me! From deep convos to endless laughs I will forever cherish you both whether near or far just know yall always have a brother in me.

Now from Wilder to Lee , the 2022 Mister Crimson and Cream is off to start the next chapter of his life and chase his dreams

A young black boy dreamed about attending an HBCU his whole middle and high school career but never once did he think picking NSU would be one of the best decision of his life and that his college journey would be so inspiring, impactful, and rewarding. These past 4 and a quarter years at Norfolk State is one I’d never change for anything in this world

To the blueprint , representing the green and gold my whole life I never knew I’d walk the path that you paved and follow the footsteps you walked. Thank you for supporting me in every single endeavor I embarked on here , your support never waved and I could NEVER repay you for that. From staying in towers to walking that stage our journey may be different but the foundation and legacy lives within both of us. Class of ‘93 & Class of ‘25, 32 years later the NSU graduate Legacy continues with me.

I had a dream to make my college experience worth the journey , from leading organizations to trying new things and all around wearing my Spartan pride everywhere I go, I couldn’t have asked for a better 4 years.

So thank you norfolk state , for allowing me to meet some of the best faculty and staff on this earth, turning friends into family and allowing me to grow as a man. One thing NSU has taught me is to always chase my dreams and never stop wishing on a star.
