~•An ode to never definitively knowing what love is 🍷

I wrote TKL a while back, but it’s only now escaped its pages. It speaks to comparative love—the kind of love that lingers on your lips as a bite into a ripe apple would. The kind that vibrates through our bodies as our cells scream in desire for similar treatment while simultaneously anticipating what those affections would feel like. Jealous love. Kind love. All the shades that love has to offer because the promise of being held accompanies its allure. The uncertainty of whether it is actually love or just an echo, a reverberation of the sentiment, injects a layer of peril; ‘The synchronised beating of the drums’. Is it love? Is it kind of love? I want that kind of love.
