I’m so glad I go to TSU💙🐯

Tomorrow, May 4th, 2024, I will be graduating from THEE Illustrious Tennessee State University. Though I am excited to graduate, leaving TSU is very bittersweet.

To my twin, Miss Make It Happen:
Thank you for being my number one cheerleader, shoulder to lean on and inspiration. I remember when I was looking at colleges in high school. My mom told me I had to go at least four hours away. At that time I did not understand why she told me that. But now I am very grateful that she made me go out outside my comfort zone and leave St. Louis. Throughout my time in college, she has always been there for me every step of the road. From the daily crying calls during freshmen pre-drill and trips to SHC and Homecoming all the way to my final steps at TSU. I am leaving TSU a completely new woman. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without the advice, encouragement and support of my mom. by @_.celeste__

The Legacy starts with me🩷💚

Since I was in high school, I knew I wanted to be an Alpha woman. Thank you to the inspiring women in my life who paved the way, inspired me and welcomed me into the sisterhood with open arms.

To the Awesomely Sophisticated Alpha Psi chapter:
I am forever grateful for the friendships, connections, support and opportunities Alpha Psi has provided me. Thank you for molding me into the Alpha woman I dreamed I would become.

To Ivy Hit Rekords:
Y’all are my girLS for life. I am so blessed to have 67 amazing women I can call my sisters. Though our paths have shifted, the spirit of our sisterhood will always unite us, wherever we go. I love each and every one of y’all. 68 in, 68 out.

Forever Sophisticated

It is hard to put into words the impact the Sophisticated Ladies has had my life. I auditioned for the Sophisticated Ladies in 2019. I never marched in the band until college so it was a new experience for me. Being apart of the Sophisticated Ladies has been the best experience and saying goodbye is undoubtedly the hardest.
To my freshmen sisters,
Honestly, I wouldn’t have made it through my freshmen year without you. Thank you for accepting me, helping me, and being there for me when I need you all the most. I love and miss y’all so much, but the memories we share will never go away.🥹
To my 22-23 team,
I love all of you so much. From the late night rehearsals, early morning call time and long game days. Thank you for trusting me as your captain and the countless hours of hard work and dedication you put in to making the season one to remember. Please know you always hold a very special place in my heart.
To my coaches,
Thank you @coachgthatsme for giving me the opportunity to be apart of the Sophisticated Ladies in 2019. Thank you for seeing potential in me and believing in my abilities.
Thank you @its_melsworld for EVERYTHING. Wow I don’t know where to begin. Thank you for believing in me, pushing me to new heights and giving me once in a lifetime opportunities. Thank you for the endless support and leading us by example. Your influence has shaped me in way beyond the field. As I embark on the next chapter of my life, I will always hold myself with BEAUTY, STYLE and GRACE.
Signing out✌🏾🥹

This weekend was bittersweet as our beautiful captain @_.celeste__ shared her last dance with fans, the @tsuaristocratofbands and @tsusophisticatedladies 💙🎩. While we’re going to miss her sweet spirit and vibrant personality, we are forever grateful for contribution to the Sophisticated Ladies for the last 4 years. Celeste, continue to let your light shine! We love you and we can’t wait to see what amazing opportunities life has in store for you. #ForeverSophisticated
