Behind the scenes in March 2025, working out the sax parts for ‘Easy Company’ with the supremely talented @therealmcghee

The song was already recorded at this point with my guys @anzolaloops and @jp_drumming but we all wanted to add another dimension, another voice to skate around freely and play lead melodies.

Before we put on the headphones to record the actual takes you now hear on the album, I set up the old iphone-on-the-desktop and we found the pocket in this improvised moment by @_2ndson_

OUT NOW

Easy Company is the second single and track 4 from our forthcoming studio album. We took our time to create this music and today we celebrate the fact we got to do this work together. Easy Company is a reminder of the importance of collaboration in music and the spirit of building something amongst like minded creatives.

2nd Son: electric guitar, bass, congas and voice
Anzola: electric piano, piano and voice
Justin Peroff: drums
Aubrey McGhee: tenor saxophone

OUT NOW

The Weight of Light is the first single and title track from our forthcoming studio album. We took our time to create a musical world that represents our thoughts and emotions through our instruments. This song is the first entranceway into that world and we’re thankful to finally share it with you.

We would like to send love and sincere thanks to @francismakes for meeting us on our level in the creation of this beautiful album cover and for setting the tone visually for this music.

2nd Son: electric guitars, bass, conga & percussion
Anzola: piano & synthesizers
Peroff: drums
McGhee: tenor saxophone

A little surveillance snippet w @anzolaloops this time last year, working out arrangements for an upcoming record. We ended up not using this song for the project but i love how the chord changes feel classic. Something for the timeline ✌🏼 by @_2ndson_
