Ahmed Al-Waeli (1928–2003) was one of the most influential Islamic scholars and orators of the modern era. Born in the sacred city of Najaf, Iraq, he was raised in a family devoted to Islamic scholarship and spent his life pursuing knowledge and educating others.

After completing advanced studies in the Hawza of Najaf, he expanded his academic journey by earning a master's degree from the University of Baghdad and a Ph.D. from Cairo University. His rare combination of traditional Islamic learning and modern education shaped his distinctive intellectual style.

For decades, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Waeli delivered thousands of lectures on the Holy Quran, the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), Islamic history, ethics, Arabic literature, and contemporary social issues. His powerful eloquence and thoughtful analysis made him one of the most respected voices on the Hussaini pulpit.

Following his departure from Iraq in the late 1970s, he continued his mission across the Islamic world, inspiring audiences through his lectures and educational work. His message consistently encouraged faith, wisdom, critical thinking, and noble character.

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Waeli passed away on July 14, 2003, and was buried in Najaf. His lectures and writings remain a lasting source of knowledge, guidance, and inspiration for millions around the world, preserving a legacy that continues to educate new by @_50u8

Bassem Al-Karbalai is one of the most famous Hussaini reciters in Iraq and the Shia world and is considered one of the most prominent voices associated with Hussaini gatherings and the commemoration of Imam Hussein. His full name is Bassem Ismail Karbalai and he was born in the holy city of Karbala in 1966 where he began his journey in reciting Hussaini poems at an early age until his voice gained wide recognition during the 1990s. by @_50u8
