Hello there, Ernest here. Again with another TSP race, but in a different place. Fun fact: At the moment you’re reading this lengthy text of mine, I probably still haven’t figured out what I’m doing. But that’s exactly what I like about this adventure. I like the unknown. I like the mystery. I like the rawness. Thinking on the feet at the moment. In a way, it resembles to the life journey, one may planned out a direction and detailed step to get to where they wanna go, but there’s always unexpected obstacles on the way. And being flexible and creative to think on the spot to find a resolution sometimes is better than being hard headed and stick to a strick plan. Hello there, Ernest here! Grew up in Hong Kong, and moved to NY because it’s a great place to be. Excelsior. Always upward.

Running and I have a long history with twists and turns like lovers infatuated and then separated and then infatuated again and they separated again and then cycle goes on. The feeling of chasing after something and running towards the goal is both exhilarating and liberating to me. Running is a physical manifestation of a better self.

What’s my favorite race? It got to be NB 5Av Mile. The dash fuels me up with adrenaline and passion in every single cell in my body. I can truly feel how the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.

The universe works in mysterious ways. About a year ago, I stumbled upon a community run (thanks to Sara ✨) The synergy from running together, regardless of the reason whether it’s training for a race or just for fun, is amazing. I get to meet a lot of great people in the process. And we grow together.

Likewise, I stumbled upon this race, TSP, thanks to Sara again. When she explained what the race was, it sounded wild to me. But wild is my middle name. And I simply cannot deny this opportunity comes once in a lifetime, yo. Therefore, as part of ATMxTSP crew member, I will utilize my driving skill to maneuver vehicles to support runners along the way until to the finish line.
