Your body is immersed in a beautiful, sexual, tender, and grotesque landscape. We hear overlapping and melting testimonies while watching caring and domestic scenes. A central figure devotedly guides you through a soft bubble of familiar objects, kitschy and colourful.

SMALL ACTS OF VIOLENCE (VR, 25 mins, 2023)

Have you been violent with the ones you love? What are the actions we take in the name of love? What violence do we, in hindsight, blame on love?We are all in need of love and care. But what happens when those who love and care for us are also physically or verbally violent? What happens when we are the violent ones? Out of this, how can you evolve a sense of safety?

You are invited to experience the surreal cinematic 360° VR, Small Acts of Violence, concerning the entanglement of love and non-consensual physical violence and self-harm in intimate/ family relationships.

The artist will be present to discuss and guide to work on Friday 3rd Oct at 18h30 until 20h30 registration required.

The doors will be open on Fridays: 3 October 18h to 22h and Saturday 4 October 10h to 18h

Two weeks of testing, sharing and building with Eris (@xrisxversx), working together on the choreography of I’m Listening.

Asking how to translate stories via touch? How to guide into connection?

This project explores how collective silence shaped queer lives under Section 28 in the UK—through touch, movement & memory.

This work weaves guided touch and audio storytelling, drawing from interviews with women & trans men who grew up under this law.

Last weekend was the first time to show 𝓢𝓶𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓐𝓬𝓽𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓥𝓲𝓸𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 in VR cinema format with no performance or set design. The 25 min VR work and well as screen based playable version was shown along side the 5 min animated work ‘🆆🅷🅴🅽 🆆🅰🆂 🆃🅷🅴 🅵🅸🆁🆂🆃 🆃🅸🅼🅴 🆂🅾🅼🅴🅾🅽🅴 🅶🅰🆅🅴 🆈🅾🆄 🅱🆄🆃🆃🅴🆁🅵🅻🅸🅴🆂?’ All which premiered at part of @contour_biennale curated by @augusteorts and produced by @argos_arts in September 2023.

A series of colourful digital collages printed on transparent acrylic—vibrant and seductive, yet composed of an ongoing collection of mouldy and rotten fruit, bread, and flowers. These images of decay intertwine with depictions of wounded and scarred skin, evoking both healing and damage. Beauty and disgust coexist: the moulding remnants of a birthday meal, the bruise on your arm left by a hand that held onto it a little too tightly.. This series exposes what we often sanitize and conceal—traces of domestic spaces and the complexities of familial relationships. by @__.aay.__

One year ago, I was preparing for the @opencitydocs and the European Media Arts Festival—both opening on the same day. 🙌✨

‘What makes us worthy of love? Did I do everything right, when my daughter was growing up? One older woman came out asking herself these questions. She said she sees the things her daughter doesnt do right with her children and asks herself what that has to do with her?’ - Mediators EMAF
