You can not plan for God; He plans for you. "For I know the plans I have for you..." Jeremiah 29:11.

A week later and it still feels surreal. I genuinely never imagined I'd be here. Law wasn't the dream I held onto growing up. I wanted to be in a white robe, but life took a different turn—the classic story of "not being good at the science subjects."
I remember crying in SS1, convinced I wasn't good enough. Looking back now, I realize that wasn't the end of my story. It was simply where God invited me to begin again.

So I did.

From SS1 to SS3 and the university, almost immediately and to the final phase being the Nigerian Law School, each institution tested me, and I tested them too. I started strong, stumbled a few times, found my footing again, and kept going.

There were tears.
There was laughter.
There were lessons.
There were countless blessings.

Today, I stand here because the grace of God carried me every step of the way. I will forever bask in the excellence of Christ Jesus, and I remain enamelled by His mercies toward a little girl like me.

I walk this journey in honour of the man and woman who came before me and laid the foundation for the woman I am still becoming-My greatest benefactors, My Parents.
Thank you, Mum and Dad.💜

I also walk for the women who have gone before me, those walking beside me, and those yet to come.
