Glorious 24 + 5 hours with my @shmozzz ❤️ Great food, better drinks, junk shops, discovering Paul (!) and watching a woman seduce her furniture. A thoroughly Molly coded time and that’s why I love her.

In memory of Uncle Al ❤️

On Sunday, we received the devastating news that my wonderful Uncle Alasdair had passed away unexpectedly, only a month after his 60th birthday.

I took this video in his favourite bar, on the last day I saw him just a few weeks ago. A spontaneous drink at the shore, a much loved past time I can’t believe we won’t have the chance to do again. A few days after his passing, I took my Granda for lunch at another of our usual spots, and sitting outside in the sun, I could almost hear Uncle Als laugh, his ever enthusiastic “hello!”, and wished I could be sitting listening to another of his stories.

For me, he will always be there in small moments. Cosy winter drinks and sun-lit lunches, walks through Glasgow streets where he told me tales of his university days. In memories of playing in the garden at his house in Fife, introducing me to The Lord of The Rings and his witty text exchanges.

Uncle Al loved loudly. He was as generous as they come, one of my greatest champions, and his loss is felt just as greatly by my family and his many friends who adored him.

We will love and miss you always, here’s to you Uncle Al 🥂 by @__.rose._
