Rest in Paradise Daddy I love you forever 💔

I never thought so soon in my 19 years of living I would be typing this and I’m so hurt 💔 On September 26 around 11:30AM I received a phone saying my dad was gone, it nearly shattered me into pieces💔 I didn’t know what to do with myself all I could think about is crying💔 this is the worse pain I’ve ever felt in my life and I wouldn’t wish this pain (losing a parent) on ANYONE! Dad I know you will forever live in me and my siblings and we love and miss you so much 💔! I know you’ve done everything you could for your children and we are BEYOND grateful for you!

(Last Slide):
I want to thank all my family & friends for the phone calls, texts, and flowers this really showed me how supportive and loved I am. I will never forget the people that’s been here for me in such a difficult time. I love you all forever ❤️

My advice I could give to the world:
Love your Family & friends! And enjoy the small moments you have with people because you never know when someone is leaving especially so unexpected!

Growing up in the South and moving 10 hours away to Washington, DC for college was one of the scariest decisions I’ve ever made. I had no idea how my undergraduate journey would go, but I took a leap of faith and trusted God every step of the way.

Now here I am… officially done with undergrad in just 3 years. 🥹🎓
This moment feels so surreal because this journey was not easy at all. During my second year of undergrad, I lost my dad and honestly, a piece of my heart broke and still is broken. There were days I didn’t know how I was going to keep going while carrying that kind of pain so far away from home. But somehow, through every obstacle, setback, tear, and moment of doubt, God gave me the strength to continue.

I’m beyond proud of myself because earning this degree took more than hard work. It took faith, resilience, sacrifice, healing, and choosing to keep going even when life felt heavy.
Thank you to my family, friends, professors, mentors, and even the people I met throughout the DMV whether our conversations lasted years or just 5 minutes. Every person poured something into me during this journey.

To my dad, I hope I’m making you proud every single day. ❤️

Cheers to the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Forever grateful for everything this journey has taught me.
