LINK IN BIO PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION TO ALLOW BIKES IN ALL HOUSTON AREA SKATEPARKS

To: City of Houston Parks & Recreation Department & North Houston District

We, the undersigned residents and riders of Houston, respectfully request that the rules at Lee & Joe Jamail Skatepark and North Houston Skate Park be updated to allow all wheels (including BMX) at all times.

Why We Support This Change:
Inclusivity: Both parks should welcome all action sports disciplines—skateboards, bikes, roller skates, roller blades, and scooters.

Proven Coexistence: Across the country, bikes and skateboards share skateparks safely every day. Riders self-regulate and follow park etiquette without issues.

Better Use of Public Investment: These two parks are among the largest in the world and were built with public resources. They should serve all riders, not exclude a major group that is apart of the Houston community.

Community Growth: Allowing bikes and all wheels fosters collaboration, skill-sharing, and a stronger community across disciplines.

Our Request:
We urge the City of Houston Parks & Recreation Department and the North Houston District to remove the bike prohibition and allow bikes full access at both skateparks.
