A nostalgia-fueled journey back to the 90s!

On the occasion of “Beijing Silvermine: Archive Anthology” exhibition opening, we invite you to experience the raw energy of the pre-millennium golden era.

It’s time to raid your parents’ wardrobes, pull out those iconic vintage fits, and get ready to step to the beat of retro disco. Together, we’re bringing the wild fashion and unapologetic romance of the 1990s straight onto today’s neon dance floor.

Taking over the decks and guiding our time-travel journey under the flashing lights:
🎧 Pei (@_____pei_____ Founder of ByeByeDisco)
🎧 Yuan Xuanbin (@bside_11)
🎧 xiaolaba (@_xiaolaba 小喇叭)

Dress code: 90s Retro Style.
Bring your parents‘ best retro gear and your best energy.

Scan QR code on the poster or contact us via ☎️+8621 52992728 to reserve your spot.

Done with being “right” all week? This Friday, it’s time to get it So Young & So Wrong! We’re bringing together three label heads for a proper session:

– Raddam Ras (Chinese rap legend MC Webber’s alter ego) of Deepdown/Bassclash;
– Danger Noodle, the US-born selector behind Shanghai’s Movement event lable;
– Pei, holding it down for ByeByeDisco.

Together, they will guide the dancefloor through an extended, genre-fluid journey, unpacking the electric tension—and synergy—between the youthful (YOUNG) and the rule-breaking (WRONG).

Each brings their own flavour to the mix, shaping the soundscape and channelling the raw, varied pulse of the electronic underground.

22:00-0:00 Raddam Ras
0:00-2:00 Pei
2:00-end Danger Noodle

See you at @yuanhe_beijing ！🦋🌸📀

From chasing rock shows in Beijing in the 2000s to becoming one of the city’s most respected underground DJs and promoters, Pei has spent the last twenty years building her life around music, clubs, and creative culture.

In this issue of The Dragon Roars, we talk with the co-founder of ByeByeDisco about Beijing’s underground scene, DJ culture, nightlife after the pandemic, and what it really means to keep exploring without losing yourself along the way.

“Everyone was genuinely broke, but genuinely happy.”

So Young & So Wrong feat. The Weatherman & CuCiCuCi

Leave behind a week of “doing everything right.” This Friday, So Young & So Wrong makes its debut at YUANHE, featuring two outstanding artists from Berlin and Singapore: CuCiCuCi, founder of Berlin’s widely celebrated ambient label and platform WEICH, and The Weatherman, a multidimensional artist focused on the connection between music and mind-body states.They will be joined by Paris-based multidisciplinary creative A-MARC and Pei, core member of ByeByeDisco, for a long night of genre-blending sound—exploring the chemistry between YOUNG and WRONG.This is what a weekend night should feel like: free, alive, youthful—with just a touch of “not-so-correct” joy and excitement. Through their distinct perspectives, they will shape evolving soundscapes, revealing the diverse energies flowing between the electronic music scenes of Europe and Asia.
