രാത്രിയുടെ നിശ്ശബ്ദതയിൽ അവർ രണ്ടുപേരും ഒരേ സ്വപ്നത്തിന്റെ രണ്ടു അറ്റങ്ങളായി കിടന്നു.
വാക്കുകൾക്ക് വഴിയില്ലാതിരുന്നപ്പോൾ പോലും അവരുടെ മൗനങ്ങൾ പരസ്പരം സംസാരിച്ചു.

അവളുടെ കാലടികൾക്കരികിൽ മുഖം ചായ്ച്ചുകിടന്ന അവൻ, കടലിന്റെ കരയിൽ തിരമാലകൾ വിശ്രമിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ഒരു സമാധാനം കണ്ടെത്തി.

ജനലിലൂടെ ഒഴുകിയെത്തിയ വെള്ളിച്ചന്ദ്രിക അവരുടെ ഇടയിലെ അകലം അളക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചെങ്കിലും, ഹൃദയങ്ങൾ തമ്മിലുള്ള ദൂരം അളക്കാൻ അതിനായില്ല.

ചില സ്നേഹങ്ങൾ കൈകോർക്കുന്നതിലല്ല ജീവിക്കുന്നത്; ഒരാളുടെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ മറ്റൊരാൾക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ആശ്വാസത്തിലാണ്.
