It started as a WhatsApp status. I didn’t know it would open the door to so many conversations. 🥹❤️‍🩹

The messages, the voice notes, the stories people have shared with me about their experiences of pain, forgiveness, and being made to feel guilty for not healing quickly enough…

It’s been a reminder that so many people are carrying wounds they have never truly had the space to process.

And it has left me wondering: how many people are silently struggling because, when they tried to express their pain, they were told to forgive, forget, and move on?

This is a conversation I believe we need to have, and I’m considering taking it further through a series of honest, practical conversations about pain, emotional invalidation, forgiveness, boundaries, and healing.

But first, I’d love to hear from you.

Would you be open to being part of this conversation?

Let’s talk. ❤️‍🩹

Beyond the behavior, there is a story that needs healing.
For a long time I thought if we just pray more, try harder, the behavior will change. But I’ve learned: your actions are a symptom, not your identity. That anger, that shutting down, that constant people pleasing? It’s not who you are. It’s what you learned to survive.
God is not just interested in changing what you DO, He wants to heal where it came FROM.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
He doesn’t just correct the behavior, He binds the wound. He searches the heart, not just the habit.
Psalm 139:23 says “Search me, God, and know my heart.” Before we fix the behavior, can we get curious about the story?

This is Day 1/7 of our series: Faith, Feelings & Growth.
👉🏽 What is one behavior you’ve been shaming yourself for that actually needs healing? Let’s talk in the comments. I’m reading every one.

END CHILD MARRIAGE
LET GIRLS BE GIRLS BEFORE THEY BECOME WIVES!!

A girl should not have to exchange her childhood for a marriage she is not ready for.
She should be in a classroom, discovering her abilities, nurturing her dreams, building friendships, and learning who she is not carrying the responsibilities of a wife and, sometimes, a mother, before she has had the opportunity to experience childhood.

Child marriage is more than a wedding that happens too early. It can mean the loss of education, limited opportunities, emotional distress, increased health risks, and the interruption of a girl’s development at a critical stage of her life.

Behind every girl forced into marriage is a future that deserves a chance.

A child may be old enough to have her life decided for her by others, but that does not mean she is emotionally, physically, or psychologically ready for the consequences of that decision.

A girl’s silence is not consent. Her obedience is not readiness. And her ability to endure hardship does not make the hardship right.

No cultural expectation, financial difficulty, or societal pressure should cost a girl her right to grow, learn, dream, and make informed decisions about her future.

Ending child marriage requires more than condemning the practice. It requires educating families, supporting vulnerable households, keeping girls in school, strengthening child-protection systems, and challenging beliefs that place a girl’s value in how early she becomes a wife.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to discover herself before the world begins demanding that she become everything to everyone else.

Let childhood remain childhood.
Let education remain an opportunity, not a privilege.
Let girls have a future they can choose not one chosen for them before they are ready.

This International Day of the Girl Child, we stand with every girl whose voice has been silenced, whose dreams have been interrupted, and whose childhood has been taken away.

Because a girl deserves the chance to grow into her future not be rushed out of her childhood.

END CHILD MARRIAGE. PROTECT HER CHILDHOOD. PRESERVE HER FUTURE.
