Today I was supposed to watch and cheer my oldest son Chris Jr walk across the stage for his high school graduation because of the bipolar Louisiana weather it was push it to Monday

This still a bittersweet feeling watching you grown from a small kid to this young adult that you are today

Major S/O to your mom she always made sure that she provide the best possible life for you regardless of how we had our differences being co parents to you ✊🏽

Going your walkthrough at the elementary school being an inspiration to the smaller kids talk to them and tell them they can be whatever it is they wanna having a positive attitude and mindset 🤞🏽

I love you kiddo and I thank you for being open with your pops and allowing me to be a better version of myself the road wasn’t always smooth we made it tho and im forever grateful and thankful 🩵🖤 by @___cb3___

17 years in 2007 I had my first born name him Christopher Vaughn Butler Jr didn’t know anything about being a first time father at the age of 21 never had my biological father in my life to show me the ropes of how to be a parent had to experience everything on my end as time went on I did my best to be a father to you kiddo and I can admit that I wasn’t there for you like I wanted to do so especially that you know as born in New Orleans and I was living in Baton Rouge me and your mom had ups down lefts rights when it came to you I ask daily and even still right now am I giving my son the same love and attention as your siblings Khiyan and jahmir what makes it even harder that each one of yall in a different city no matter what goes on in my life I said I never wanted to be like my biological father and not be there for my kids if I ever had any I Continue to watch you grow and grow right in front of my eyes your mom always made sure you had everything you needed now wow Chris Jr you are bout to be 17th years old and also you’re be graduating high school in 2025 I love you son and your dad can admit that he has not always be there physically like you wanted me to do mentally and emotionally I always thought about you right along with your siblings my prayer was always wanted to have all my boys in the same city so that you can have a closer bond with each one of them I’m super grateful that I’m able to be there for you son physically mentally emotionally more then I ever did before I will never stop being your father no matter what I face in my life I ask the man above to please continue to guide me in the right direction when it comes to my oldest son we had our issues our disagreement and we didnt talk for months and months over misunderstanding I learn to let my son come talk about his feelings and me as a parent to fully understand where he’s coming from at the end of the day kiddo I thank god for allowing me to be your father HAPPIEST 17TH CHRIS JR DAD LOVE YOU FOREVER ♾️ 🎉🫶🏽🥳🖤🤎 by @___cb3___

Welp instagram folks today is the day I turn to chapter 38 of my life wow really I sit here and saying to myself geesh I’m 2 years closer to 40 years old I’m grateful and thankful I’m able to wake up and see what the day brings today 🙏🏽💙
