Decha wears many hats, vacillating snarling, punky personas with more naif, airy stylings and seductive croon, always unafraid to play around with the frayed, natural cracks and textures of her voice. Exceptional and experimental, yet very personal and bewitching.

Germ Lattice –the sickest band going– fully free and chaotic, but also tightly edited by hands who know their shit. A desiccated set of concrète post-punk, incongruous early musique and ossified dub-noise. Seriously top drawer outsider ooze.

Carrageenan is boss of the Cold Moss label, hardened live performer and dub lover. Trapping one into a black hole of analogue percussion and raw or heavily distorted minimalism and dub until submerged in an electronic primordial goo, only to be born again.

Carrageenan ‘Dry Signal’ Release Party

DECHA
Decha is multidisciplinary artist Viktoria Wehrmeister, based in Düsseldorf, born in Mexico City. She was part of Klaus Dinger’s la! NEU? and founder of Toresch with Tolouse Low Trax. Her poetic lyrics often contain self-reflection, while she modulates her voice playfully in shades from light to dark, transgressing a clear gendered identity. Hiele Boca is a superb solo debut suite of minimalist, mirage-like songs. On her second album, La Vida Te Busca, flitting back and forth between German and Spanish, Decha creates a vividly angular, post-industrial sprawl.

GERM LATTICE
The trio –Joe, Mickey and Louie– met in London during the 2000’s but it wasn’t until they had relocated to Norwich in recent years, that they rented a studio in a condemned brutalist shopping centre and the Germ Lattice sound was formed. Dirt-caked, tape-damaged outsider jams at their filthiest, their debut Gipping Through the Ages is a flagrant deconstruction of post-punk, unravelling screwed basslines, chants and ritualistic beats with time dilating, on-the-fly concrète processes and canny studio techniques.

CARRAGEENAN
Carrageenan is Brussels based midnight lurker Matthieu Levet’s solo project. He’s a hardened live performer, boss of the Cold Moss label and in diverse bands like Carcass Identity, Pizza Noise Mafia and Orphids. His live performance often turns a venue into a black hole where analog percussion, heavy distorted bass, dub techniques and raw minimalism meet, bubbling, scraping, drowning the audience in a splurge of electronic tonal and atonal dribble. Now he unleashes Dry Signal, a profound and disquieting album, on Nose Job.

Die Ausstellung wird durch das Soundpiece Nonja von der Platte Hielo boca von Viktoria Wehrmeister (DECHA) ergänzt. In einem einstündigen Loop entfaltet sich eine durch Voice-Transformation verfremdete Stimme, die keiner bekannten Sprache folgt und ihre semantische Bindung auflöst. Die von der Künstlerin selbst eingesprochene und komponierte Arbeit basiert auf vielfacher Überlagerung der eigenen Stimme, die sich zu einer chorischen, entindividualisierten Klangstruktur verdichtet.
Der Klang durchzieht die Ausstellungsräume als kontinuierliches, raumkonstituierendes Feld. Schallwellen und Lichtreflexionen der ausgestellten Kunstwerke verschränken sich zu einem immateriellen Gefüge. Hielo Boca erweitert das Konzept von No Light No Light, indem es die Bedingungen ästhetischer Erfahrung jenseits des Visuellen reflektiert und Wahrnehmung als mediales Zusammenspiel von Licht, Klang und Raum begreift.
