I am so excited to announce that after receiving my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May, I will be furthering my education in the specialty of pediatric dentistry at Meharry Medical College!

I want to extend my gratitude to my support system — you all are the best!

A special thank you to Dr. Roslyn Crisp and the team at Crisp & Associates Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Crisp gave me my first exposure to pediatric dentistry during my time at North Carolina A&T. Also, a HUGE thank you @docmcstephyy for being the best mentor, always checking in, and helping me with anything I need; She’s also hooding me!

Cheers to more learning and growth with the Meharry Peds Residency Class of 2027!

On May 9th, 2021, I proudly graduated from the illustrious North Carolina A&T State University. Exactly four years later, on May 9th, 2025, I fulfilled a lifelong dream by graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.

In just four years, I went from student to doctor — Dr. Brandon James, DDS.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported, encouraged, and believed in me along the way. This is only the beginning.

Today I embark on the final leg of my educational journey!
Going from high school to undergraduate school, to dental school, and now into a residency program without any gaps or breaks has been no easy task. But I can truly say that I am doing what I love, and I have no regrets.

Over the next two years, I will be learning all about pediatric dentistry, and I am both humbled and grateful to know that I’ll be able to do this for the rest of my life.

I’m truly thankful because I’m building the life I want for myself from an early age and while doing that, I’ll have the opportunity to change children’s lives in the process.

I love it here. Thank you to my entire support system you’ve helped me every step of the way.

1/4th a dentist! Just last year TODAY I graduated from the ILLUSTRIOUS North Carolina A&T State University and today I finished my first year of dental school. Only way is up from here 🦷🪥. Such a hard but rewarding journey so far. (Had to rep my hbcu crewneck no matter what) . D2 loading! by @___doctorj

Thank you so much for everything Ayantee! I would not be where I am or who I am if it were not for this illustrious institution. I will be taking everything I have learned and will be applying it in my future endeavors. Thank you to my wonderful boyfriend, friends, teachers, and family members for helping me along the way! I love you all! Next step, dental school. Dr. James DDS loading!
