Why are blessings reserved to be handled by the few who claim to be anointed? Your life is pulsating in your palms Grab it. Hold it. Bless yourself We have death’s visitations without a promise of prayer Your timeline is eating itself like the snake around the sun You twirl and fall into a women’s arms who are not mine and the hands of promise hold you back The grand rejuvenation of every cell in your body. Sacred! Scared, sacred, sacred, sacred Why are your prayers not made up of screams? Hold them close like your own child You are your own child Something reborn and new. I miss lots of things. And the excitement of new love. by @___el444l____

A love letter to a friend and giving in to looking tired, and a protest piece against those who use words like ‘delicious’ to describe self-indulgence on their euro-summer expository pieces of writing. + drawings done in sketchbooks long ago.
