“It wasn’t as easy as it looks—these boys absolutely nailed it. One of my favourite sequences from ‘BRO’.”

“How unpredictable life is.”

One phone call.
That’s what saved us.

It was 2017.
Me and Nikhil were on our way to Thrissur.
3AM. Half asleep.
Laughing. Playing around with an Innova on the highway.
Just two boys chasing dreams, not thinking about death.

Then his phone rang.
A friend.
She had a nightmare—called him out of nowhere.

He slowed down to answer.

In that exact second,
The Innova sped ahead.
And got crushed.
By a van carrying medical gas.

We froze.
Ran.
Two boys were inside.
Unconscious.
Car torn open like paper.
Front half completely gone.

Fire force had to cut the wreck apart.
We just stood there.
No voice. No words.

We pulled over.
Had water.
Sipped tea.
But nothing tasted like anything.

Because all we could think was—
If that call didn’t come… we’d be dead.

And now, seeing the Air India flight crash,
My heart breaks again.

People boarded that flight thinking they were going home.
They didn’t.

Just like that.
Gone.

And we still think we have time?
Still waiting to love?
Still waiting to live?

You don’t own tomorrow.
None of us do.

So say what you need to.
Hug harder.
Forgive faster.
Eat the damn dessert.
Call your people.
Do the thing.
Help someone.

Live. Not later.
Not someday.
But now.

“We came back that night.
They didn’t.
Don’t waste the time you still have.”
