The children have been MITHERING for a boo basket... Here we have it. I'm quite confident this will give them a fright! 🕸️😈

Enough to at least clean their bedrooms from the frightful smells, freshen their carpets up from the murky mess beneath their feet, dust the cobwebs hanging from random corners of their pits, and of course, some general house help to assist with cooking for afterwards if they work up an appetite - I got the air fryer recipes for ease - what more could they ask for?! 😉

Manchester FREE family day out!

One week left of the summer holidays... You might want to save this 🫵🏼

🚊 9:30am tram to MCR
📍 Manchester Art Gallery was our 1st stop: looking around all of the galleries which the children enjoyed much more than I anticipated 🙌🏼
📍 Manchester Central Library: we wandered around the 1st floor and listened to some audios which we enjoyed before heading downstairs to the children's section. We sat in the different seating area, read together, the children read independently and then enjoyed a good gander at all of the different genres
🏙️ We then had a wander through the city, identifying venues & admiring the street art 🎨
📍 Castlefield: where we sat and ate our picnic lunch that wed prepared earlier. After this we strolled around Castlefield for around 45-60 mins down the canal, looking at the barges and enjoying the scenery.
📍 Museum of Science & Industry: we spent ages in here exploring the different floors and then headed over to the other building and learned more about the trains 🚂 Lots of interactive opportunities for the children (and adults!) and the sunshine was out so we sat outside on their deck chairs and enjoyed a few games of giant Connect4 together! 👌🏼
📍 Sapporo Tapanyaki: this part was obviously not free but we wanted a treat and this was definitely the place. We took advantage of their "Kids Eat Free" offer & loved seeing the children's faces at the show cooking Japanese 🍙🍜
🚶🏼‍♀️We then had another walk to the other side of town which took around 35-40 minutes, again just strolling through the other parts of the city, through The Gay Village 🏳️‍🌈
📍 Depot Mayfield: our final part of the day was a good play in the park after a wander through the gardens. The children love it here & there's so much to do. 🛝
They loved their play to end the day nicely before heading to Piccadilly for the tram home!

🚊 £7.10 for 6 of us for the day!
🍽️ The only other part of the day which we spent money on.
🏠 We got home at 7:50pm
⏰ 10.5 hours out... That's what I call a GREAT free day out 💛

Undusted home...

Piles of shoes that haven't been moved

Piles of clean washing still waiting to be taken upstairs and hung away...

Because the housework can wait! Can't it? And time waits for nobody. So as much as it is STRESSING ME OUT - and it really is 😆 - I am trying my best to do as little as possible and make the most of every day with the children making memories. It won't be long til they're all doing their own thing and this time will be gone. 😫 by @___no.6___
